Lynwood, Los Angeles County
The Pacific Electric depot that served Lynwood from 1917 was moved to the city park when the Century Freeway was built, and it now holds a place on the National Register. The freeway, opened in 1993, crosses the middle of town with a light rail line in its median. Lynwood sits between South Gate and Compton, about ten miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
